Adult Conversations

  • The two-day ADULT CONVERSATIONS course covers the theory of relationships through presentations and group discussions, then proceeds to the practical work of behaviour analysis, simulation exercises, and skills rehearsal.

The central psychological model of the course is Transactional Analysis, which provides a method for analyzing human behaviour, both our own and others’. Participants will explore the games people play that make relationships and situations difficult, but more importantly, they will learn how to influence others’ behaviour by changing their own.

  • Video analysis of body language, posture, and gestures

    Professional actors simulating workplace interactions

Simulations to practice different communication styles

Exercises on the art of giving feedback

The ADULT CONVERSATIONS course culminates in a real-world simulation, where participants choose a challenging situation. Professional actors play the difficult people, and participants apply their new techniques to successfully navigate and resolve the scenario.

  • By identifying common workplace challenges, participants will examine three key perspectives:

     How we perceive ourselves

    • How we perceive others

    • How others perceive us

This approach allows for a fresh analysis of difficult situations and how to manage them effectively.

"I didn't expect much going into the course—thought it would be another generic training. But during a roleplay, I noticed I physically leaned back when someone disagreed with me. The trainer pointed it out, and we discussed it. That moment stuck with me more than any model or framework."

Alex T. – Senior Manager, Microsoft

"Small talk isn't my thing, and I usually avoid confrontation. So, signing up for a course titled 'Adult Conversations' felt ironic. Surprisingly, it helped. Now, I approach one-on-ones with a mental script that feels natural, not robotic. It's a work in progress, but it's progress nonetheless."

Priya R. – HR Business Partner, Symantec

"I've attended numerous trainings over the years, but this one lingered. Not because it was entertaining—it was challenging—but because it made me reconsider what professionalism truly means. It's been weeks, and I'm still reflecting on it."

Marcus L. – Team Lead, Hewlett Packard
